日本職棒西武隊投手郭俊麟4日參加「夢想超極限、棒球英雄展」，對於自己可以旅日發展，郭俊麟認為「就是因為自己沒放棄」，因此他希望大家可以朝著自己的夢想，努力去追求。

郭俊麟一直就抱著旅外的夢想，但高中畢業之後，等待多年卻等不到機會，他說「曾想過要放棄」，尤其是去年有一段時間肩膀受傷，心情陷入谷底，幸好經紀人一再鼓勵他不要放棄，郭俊麟聽了經紀人的話，積極復健，在仁川亞運對韓國隊的金牌戰投出佳作，也因此有了加入西武隊的機會。

由於沒放棄，郭俊麟旅日圓夢，他說開始注視日本職棒時，覺得達比修有好厲害，因此很希望可以像他一樣，更希望可以跟達比修同隊；但現在達比修已轉戰大聯盟，短期之內，郭俊麟的願望很難達成。

這段時間，郭俊麟都在左營國訓中心與另一名旅日投手陳冠宇一同自主訓練，他向陳冠宇請教了一些日本文化，希望自己可以趕快適應。對於即將到來的新球季，郭俊麟當然希望可以趕快上一軍，而且可以保持健康狀態，投出好成績。
