聯準會Charles Evans：不樂見強勢美元

《Reuters》報導，近期美元對全球主要貨幣持續升值來到 12 年以來新高紀錄，芝加哥聯邦儲備銀行行長 Charles Evans 公開表示不樂見此情況，指美國通膨率受此影響難以達到目標。

Charles Evans 在倫敦一場會議上公開表示，強勢美元對出口業者來說是「挑戰」。不過近期國際原油價格相當低，抵銷了美元升值帶來的負面影響。

Charles Evans 則對於聯準會今年升息持反對態度，認為除非官員對於通膨率回升至 2%目標水準有足夠信心，否則應暫緩至 2016 年上半年升息。他個人認為核心通膨率應上升至目前 1.3%之上、薪資成長率上升至 3-4%之間升息才妥當。

Charles Evans 指出，其他聯準會官員均有信心認為通膨率可於今年回升。如果通膨率持續維持低檔，可能讓這些聯準會同事大感意外。
