台中捷運綠線工程位於北屯路與文心路口，10日傍晚近5時進行鋼架吊放及組裝工程時，發生鋼梁掉落意外，長43公尺、重約209公噸的廂形鋼梁翻落地面，造成4死、4傷。檢察官11日上午前往現場勘驗，調查意外發生原因是否與趕工有關。

台中地檢署檢察官楊仕正、柯學航11日上午到發生意外的北屯路、文心路口工地勘察，並三度登上消防雲梯車，希望藉由近距離勘驗，以釐清意外發生原因是否與趕工有關。

在意外中喪生的26歲工人梁孝凱家屬上午前往現場招魂，由於無法忍受喪子悲痛，梁孝凱的母親在現場數度哭到腿軟。
