南韓為外國遊客特設的『觀光警察』已經在首爾明洞景區工作了1年左右，這一年期間，『觀光警察』為外國遊客解決了旅遊諮詢等各種各樣的難題約4.6萬件，懲治了包括打車和包車服務中的非法營業現象等違法亂紀案件1600多個。

國際在線據韓聯社報導，據悉，南韓警察廳和文體部還計劃在首爾明洞、弘益大學附近、釜山光復洞一帶等著名的旅遊景點增設觀光警察和諮詢中心。
