軍隊包圍獅子山副總統求美庇護

獅子山副總統蘇瑪納（Samuel Sam─Sumana）今天表示，由於軍隊包圍他的住宅，他已請求首都自由市的美國大使館提供庇護。本月稍早，他被執政的全民國會黨（APC）開除黨籍。

記者目前無法就此事訪問到獅子山政府發言人。

蘇瑪納被現任總統柯洛瑪（Ernest Bai Koroma）所屬全民國會黨開除黨籍的原因在於，調查人員指控他，另行成立與執政黨對立的政治組織，而這使他能否續任副總統成疑。
