美聯社報導，1959年奧斯卡最佳外語片「黑色奧菲斯」將改編成音樂劇，搬上百老匯舞台，不過，登台時間未定。

負責劇本改編的是普立茲獎得主林恩‧諾塔奇（Lynn Nottage），導演是東尼獎得主喬治‧沃爾夫（George C. Wolfe）。「黑色奧菲斯」是馬塞爾‧卡穆斯執導的電影，以巴西的嘉年華為背景，敘述近似希臘神話中奧菲斯和尤莉迪絲的悲劇故事。
